Impossible to dismiss and crescendos it's screaming, shrieking faces, it's swelling score, and nightmarish/Hell ultra reality into the most powerful of films. Nature is so, so beautiful and humans are too ugly to coexist. Man vs. nature distilled to rape, murder, genocide, despair, cannabalism, disease, dismemberment, ultimately all burned away. The true horror is knowing some actions can never be erased, and we are complicit to witnessing and committing such acts to memory, at least until death...if we are so lucky.
Saw this in a theater, and boy howdy did it shut the fuck up some snickering hipsters.
