My rating only reflects the second half of the movie since I would have rated the 1666 part like one star. I can accept dead murderers coming back to kill people but I just can't stand half-assed historical stuff and bad accents that come and go as they please.
The only thing that first hour brings is an explanation as to why all of this is happening and who the real culprit is, but does so by presenting an overused witch hunt story that I couldn't care less about. At least it emphasizes that said witches weren't actually witches and that people will believe whatever they want.
Now the second half got my attention right away and the kids have a plan! It was fun for the most part, I just found there was way too much happening at the end there. It did nicely connect and wrap up all three movies though.
