The epitome of style over substance. Sam Raimi has the mind of a mastermind but none of his admittedly excellent visual flourishes can make up for that which is void of any cohesion, heart, or story. I haven’t enjoyed an MCU film since Infinity War (in fact, I haven’t hated an MCU film this much since Age of Ultron) and I’m not confident that this score will change.

This film is so incredibly threadbare and only unravels the more I think about it. Spidey has been my fav superhero (and quite possibly one of my fav characters ever) for as long as I can remember, so I fully expected to adore this.
