  This was the first film screened in my first ever cinema studies course as a freshman. This was the film that made me realize that Classical Hollywood Cinema is something that I can’t live without. Three years later, I saw it on 35mm in my last ever cinema studies course as a senior. I owe my entire life and current/future career to this glorious film, and I’m thankful for the professors and courses that have made me who I am today. 

  I’m also thankful for Gene Kelly’s ass and scar but that’s for another time.
