very good! one of those comedies where it feels so packed full of jokes but never in a way that makes it feel bloated or like you can't breathe. it's just really good at stacking and layering its humor and references in a smart way that gives you a lot to laugh at. it uses callbacks and parody effectively, in a way some films struggle to. it assembles some of the funniest people working at the time to play off each other in these outlandish characters alongside real life musicians and personalities that help to ground it. well-written, well-peformed, and well-edited, it's a gem as far as 2020 comedies go.
and i know i'm not saying anything revolutionary here but the lonely island really does bring it to everything they do. time and time again they get my ass. i've had a crush on jorma since i was 14 and it persists even now, 9 years later.
