Kat Moir’s review published on Letterboxd:
I struggled a bit with this film.
That said, it was highly interesting to learn a bit about their way of life. The way that marriage and babies are your functions in life, and although women are respected unlike a lot of other cultures, their main job is to be obedient and quiet. But even if I hadn't found it interesting, the cinematography and sound is stunning, so the film is delightful enough to sit through regardless of the plot.
Fill The Void was a great way to get a bit of education and culture, and the film itself - although a bit mundane on the whole - is enjoyable enough. Worth a watch for something different.
