Okay, so lets start this. There are lots of opinions flying around about this movie. Obviously most people hated it. I think they're crazy, but at the same time went into this film looking for the wrong thing. Stop thinking the title dictates the movie. If it was called "DC Presents: Dawn of Justice" the ratings would be at least 1.5 points higher. Anyways I'm going to review this film based on a list of it's good sides and it's bad sides.
The Great:
- BATMAN IS AMAZING. LIKE THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST BATMAN FILM EVER (More on that later).
- The movie is shot amazingly. It's superbly realistic. The sets are real. The props are as well. The attention to detail is probably the best I've ever seen, which in my opinion may be why some of the comic booky elements in the end are so hard to digest.
- Wonder woman's placement was great
- Those Justice League cameos were perfect. (Oh man. That cyborg scene was amazing).
- That Flash warning scene at the end of the Knightmare sequence was haunting.
- The jump scares are all great and trippy.
- That beginning to Batman was amazing.
- The first 30 minutes of the film period.
- This Lex is amazing.
- The Alfred/Bruce relationship
- Our first Introduction to Batman was sooo scary.
- Batman beat Superman!
- Seeing the holy trinity together at the end.
- That Bombing scene... Wow...
The Good
- Imma just say it. The whole Martha thing was messy, but I still love what they we're going for. It humanizes Bruce again. We all know he's still that 10 year old who can't get over the death of his parents.
- The score was pretty nice.
- The structure of the film as a whole was nice
- The dialogue has some good sides.
- The Bruce Wayne stuff was nice.
- They had the guts to kill superman.
The Bad
- That wonder woman theme was fucking corny as hell.
- Lex made the logo and codenames? *Face Palm*
- The pacing was off. Maybe were missing 30 minutes?
- Aquaman's cameo was a bit of a letdown.
- We didn't really need the whole doomsday stuff.
- The dialogue had some bad parts.
- That Martha stuff coulda been handled way better.
- Did we really need Batman to kill people? Really?
The Terrible
- We didn't need that Pa Kent shit.
- WE REALLY DIDN'T NEED DOOMSDAY
- why make superman's death so big, then show the dirt levitating at the very end? Unnecessary.
- A couple Plot holes.
Score: 7.7 - 8.2
Honestly the Bad doesn't really outlay the good. But this is just my round up. Give it a look yourself.
