Shane Black delivers a throwback to 70's buddy crime films in what might be the best motion picture of the year.
The chemistry of Gosling and Crowe is phenomenal, the laughs just keep coming and coming, the mystery is genuinely engaging, the action sequences are perfectly paced and the whole experience just leaves you with a massive grin on your face.
Black gives us a cracking time in the cinema, and I genuinely hope Black/Gosling/Crowe come back in some form because they're a combination that is just magical to behold.
It's hilarious, it's engaging, it's entertaining as hell, and it's absolutely charming to the end. Go and see The Nice Guys, I could not recommend it more.
