A Most Wanted Man

A Most Wanted Man ★★★½

A Most Wanted Man is certainly not a Bourne film, nor is it trying to be. This is a meticulously crafted, realistic spy thriller with Philip Seymour-Hoffman giving yet another excellent performance. Though it is sad that I will never be able to see more if his excellent work, I'm glad I'm able to see what he left behind.

The film takes its time, and this is both good and bad. Nothing ever feels rushed, but some parts seem to drag on. There's a lot of dead space, but the acting keeps you focused on what's happening.

Overall, not a bad thriller by any means. It's not a film for everyone as it will test your patience, both those final 15 minutes are incredibly suspenseful and sudden.
