I got an ad for Reeseβ€˜s peanut butter cups during the movie and for some reason I thought it was apart of the actual film. This was a fever dream of a movie and every second of it was engaging. Time to read and watch a bunch of explanations and theories.

Ahh nostalgia. Eddie Murphy is just one of my favorite people of all time he brings me such much joy in this movie. I don’t care what anyone says this is just a fun wholesome family Halloween movie. It’s a must watch for me every year, never really understood the hate the final act has some silly stuff but I’ve always loved it.

    1st Rewatch

I find this movie pretty great, it’s dripping with really cool gothic architecture and the overall atmosphere within the film is just very spooky and cozy, perfect for this time of year. It’s pretty graphic with its violence and in doing so makes the wolfman instantly feel more threatening. The music is nice and I think Hopkins is great, I really enjoy everyone in the film. The cgi is noticeable in some sections but that’s never bothered me.…

They are calling this the next lord of the rings and Star Wars and I gotta say, it’s got that potential. It’sΒ definitely a film that is hard to fully rate as it’s own thing at least for me until the other two movies in the trilogy release, once we’re able to watch one and go straight into the next it’ll definitely be a completely new experience. The movies main and really only problem is that it ends a little abruptly and doesn’t feel like a complete thing. I won’t bother you with a long review, you know it’s awesome, the director and cast says it all.

I don’t really get the hate this movies been getting, Jake Gyllenhaal gives another really intense performance. I honestly found this to be a great thriller, I haven’t seen the original film and I know that one probably does what this one does just better but I really enjoyed the intensity with this one. Only thing that really makes this movie lose points is it’s rewatch value, I don’t see myself ever deciding to watch this again πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ either way I thought this was really good, definitely the most intense movie of the year so far for me.

Part 1 is better but this one is a close second for my favorite in the series mainly due to Mary Elizabeth Winstead and the opening roller coaster scene.

The first Friday is indeed a classic but I’ve always found it a little on the boring side, still pretty good but the best films of the franchise would definitely come later on.
