Really beautifully done, a departure from the game in terms of the fate of certain characters but I think it worked beautifully and it certainly packed a punch. God it’s so hard to wait a week between episodes, this show is so amazing.

Episode 2 Log
Brought me to tears. They’re 2/2 on tears being shed during each episode for me. This episode just did it, every emotional beat from the game hits just as hard here, if not more so. The subtlety to the music hits in all the spots it does in the game, the clicker encounter was adapted FLAWLESSLY, OH MY GOD. This show is perfect, it’s one of my favorite series ever already, it may be my favorite show ever, I’ve never been so immersed into a world like I have with this. It was just so satisfying.

“I don’t understand Tenet, it’s too confusing” mfs when I hit them with the truth bomb that it makes perfect sense you just have to watch the movie and pay attention: 😫
Tenets only flaw in my opinion is it’s sound mixing, don’t get me wrong the score is incredible but it overpowers the dialogue throughout the entire movie, almost requiring you to have subtitles or to turn the volume up to the max to hear what the characters are saying.
Miles Teller and Chris Hemsworth were both great! I don’t know, it wasn’t bad but this would’ve benefited GREATLY from being condensed into maybe a 40-50 minute special of some kind, they kinda dragged it on for too long. It definitely felt like a feature length black mirror episode, just one of the average ones plot wise.

Gonna try and rewatch as many of these as I can leading up to Dead Reckoning, just an incredible franchise. Seriously just some of the most fun modern day action movies ever.
Second viewing in the last week or so. Just the sounds of this movie put me in a comfortable mood.

While this reboot/prequel to John Carpenters original masterpiece doesn’t even come close to reaching the high bar set by its predecessor, this film does serve as a fantastic companion piece that does actually enhance my enjoyment for the original film.
