James Wan has to be the best working horror director. Some Raimi and Giallo influences, this movie isn’t afraid to go in wild directions. And it’s all the better for it!

Has moments of greatness, and Oscar Isaac is incredible throughout. I may be judging this too harshly because I’m comparing it to First Reformed, which was nearly perfect.

An awesome Western that feels like a lost classic: it doesn't ever try to be postmodern or self-aware, it just exists as a solid Western. It's funny, it's incredibly tense, and the second half essentially plays out like a Western slasher.

Beautiful, dread-filled horror film that seems to be about mortality in general; it's kind of like if Final Destination were smarter and more cinematic.
