Jackie Brown ★★★★

I've seen this film a few times, and I just realized Sam Jackson was saying "My Nigga" before Denzel in "Training Day". I'm just saying...

Still an underrated gem from Tarantino, "Jackie Brown" is a straight up drama, with a little crime, and a little romance, with very good acting from the likes of Jackson, Grier, DeNiro, and Robert Forester...

In her 40's, Pam Grier was still one "foxy" lady, and this movie is her one defining and somewhat redemptive moment. Like Travolta, Tarantino helped to revive her career and she has gone on to get decent work since then.

The soundtrack to this film, may be the real MVP. From Jackie Brown's entrance, walking to Bobby Womack's "Across 110th Street" to Max Cherry's first taste of the Delfonics, the music in this film is great...

A very wise and mature choice as a movie for the Great Tarantino...
