Ken Priebe’s review published on Letterboxd:
WOW. What did I just watch??? It’s like a Shaun Tan book, a Spielberg film, a Wes Anderson film, and a Studio Ghibli film all at once. It’s like a really strange dream, a trip through the looking glass, a chess game, and a science-fiction story, all at once. But mostly, it’s a poem, one which could mean many things....but at its heart, it’s about a boy in that strange twilight between childhood and adulthood. I felt I was watching myself through my own looking glass, and memories of my own awakenings, and my own jabberwockies. I have no idea what this movie is about, and yet, I understood it completely.
