Ken Rudolph’s review published on Letterboxd :
James Mason is splendid, playing an Albanian valet to the British Ambassador in Ankara, Turkey who sells secrets to the Germans in 1944. This is a delicious, true, spy story, very Graham Greene-ish; with authentic location shooting rare for films from that era. Except for the B&W photography, the film has aged quite well...with tempo, acting style and production values which seem quite contemporary today. This film was perennially under appreciated director Mankiewicz's follow-up to All About Eve.
