Kern’s review published on Letterboxd:
The painful deterioration of a long-term relationship told through the most accurate representation of a psychedelic trip I've ever seen. Completely mesmerizing, disorienting, and hilarious. Aster's direction is incredible, maximizing discomfort through the score, cinematography, set design, performances, visual effects, and even humor. Some will inevitably feel betrayed by the way he subverts expectations set by Hereditary, but I appreciate his adamant refusal to repeat himself. A cinematic trip I'm both eager and nervous to take again.
