Kerry Maxwell’s review published on Letterboxd :
The words that kept coming to mind while slogging through this painfully depressive and narcotically paced family film, though I can't imagine many 8 year-old kids sitting still for this Hallmark bereavement card with the aesthetics of a pharmaceutical ad. A proper score might have helped matters, rather than the maudlin singer-songwriter fare that blankets this film. I mean, I love early Leonard Cohen, but the songs sorely sandbagged what should have been an inspiring kid's movie. An incredibly long, dreary, and unrewarding 102 minutes.
EDIT: Opening sequence – "Oh look! A Disney film where the parents are alive… oh never mind."
