    I’ve never been so entranced by a story before. Everything about it flows so well that even its darkest moments seem beautiful in some ways. The beauty that lies within the pain and loneliness that fill the story is what makes it so interesting; the obsession and blurred reality that drowns the characters is almost a character of its own, and it all shines through the performances from the two leads.Β So painful and upsetting to watch, but worth every second.

    What a gift was Leslie Cheung to this world.

    I had extremely high expectations for this going in, as I’d been looking forward to watching it for over a year now, and after many delays and very limited releases, I finally got to it today. I was excited to see a story centered around Brown Mexican characters (who happen to be members of the LGBT community) set partly in Mexico, since I am one myself, so I think that’s probably what’s making my judgment…
