“Don’t be ridiculous, nobody is desperately in love.”
Probably a weird comparison, but this felt like Little Miss Sunshine with an almost Friends-like humor in the best way possible. It didn’t seem like much at the beginning but the more you watch the funnier and more interesting it gets. The story is very simple, so it relies on its characters to keep you hooked, and it succeeds; the different dynamics and storylines between all of them was more than enough to make the short 85-minute runtime go by even faster, and makes for a charming watch.
Now I want to rewatch it on a cold day while drinking hot chocolate. It just feels like that type of film.
