It's too bad Doug Kenney died so young. His biopic was likely headed into major Dewey Cox territory. Even if it didn't get all the way there, I found this movie entertaining as shit, man. Even and especially for all the weird casting.
Watching Logan Lucky, the lackluster return to the movie theater for Steven Soderbergh, who "retired" a couple years back, I couldn't help but think of the moronic charisma of characters created by Joel and Ethan Coen, most notably those in Raising Arizona. These thoughts also serve to illustrate just how wrong this production was in casting an array of actors who can't seem to get on the same page with their total bullshit "Southern" accents.
