Letterboxd — Your life in film

Lost in translation is exactly what the title is. It is a slow paced heart felt story that feels like it is going to sit well over time. 3.5 stars for now

This movie definitely made me feel things. It’s slow and boring at times but it’s supposed to be slow. It shows the good in people in a society most do not know. I thought it was good but I’m surprised with how much love it’s getting

The overall story is an interesting one. There are some parts in the middle that made me feel like this wasn’t going to be as good but it was still good. Rosamund Pike creates another character similar to hers in Gone Girl.

This was categorized as an LGBTQ and Comedy movie. That seems so wrong if you watch this go into it as a drama but not a hard drama

I mean it follows all the typical tropes of a romance and I knew everything that was happening before it happened. What happened to the love triangle they were setting up in the second movie?

It has the same confusing feel of vivarium but it was more entertaining

Goodwill version of midsommar

This was definitely written to Marie from Malcolm.

Both characters were acted well, the way each time someone argued made me switch sides was well done.

It was okay not all the emotional scenes worked for me. A few felt forced but giving a great actor a role of a father trying to be there for his daughter always works for me.

This feels like one that’s gonna get better as it sits with you. Riz Ahmed had an amazing performance
