Khoi Vinh’s review published on Letterboxd:
We have “cop-aganda” so it follows that we’d also have “gangst-aganda” too, right? This is that. Even the most brutal of the yakuza in this film are portrayed as exceptionally reasonable, more or less just salary-men, whose only flaw is their dedication to the honor code of their clan. Seems specious to me, but if you accept that conceit, the movie itself is enjoyable, a riveting drama of an exceedingly moralistic group of people who just can’t see any other option except death.
