The perfect Christmas movie for people who’d rather not watch Christmas movies, as it pulls off the neat trick of feeling incredibly Christmas-like without really ever being about Christmas. This viewing I was impressed by Doris Nolan in the thankless role of Katharine Hepburn’s less interesting younger sister; Nolan is note perfect throughout. Hepburn is luminous.
