The movie looks familiar going in—very much in the Woody Allen or Noah Baumbach vein of self-aware New York-centric relationship comedies. But there’s so much beyond the easy jokes including a nuanced sense of story and wonderfully multi-faceted performances from Giamatti and Hahn.
