Khoi Vinh’s review published on Letterboxd:
Reichardt’s delicate, nuanced character studies are almost endlessly captivating, and I luxuriated a long time in the many, many, pitch perfect details that she sprinkles throughout this contemplative look at the community of artists orbiting a Portland art school. The fact that it goes nowhere particularly profound is not that nettlesome to me; again, I'm happy to just hang out with this enormously talented director. What I won't stand for though is a climax centered around a previously wounded bird suddenly taking flight, a metaphor so thudding I couldn’t even be sure she meant it seriously. That’s just a bridge too far.
