Khoi Vinh’s review published on Letterboxd:
The centerpiece of this movie is a creeptastic face off between Williams and Dern, an absolutely riveting psychological cat and mouse game that’s terrifying and morbid. What precedes it is a superb performance from Dern as a youth on the verge of womanhood, just starting to spin out of control. But so much of what’s interesting about Dern’s character is reliant on her specific relationships with her other family members, none of which are quite as rich as they need to be.
