Khoi Vinh’s review published on Letterboxd:
Could’ve been a classic, especially with its absolutely stacked cast, plus a director with a gift for dynamic staging and a knack for artistic turns of phrase. But it gets hobbled down in way too much macho posturing, nonsensical plot twists, and speechifying that repeatedly grinds things to a halt. It wants to be “Once Upon a Time in the West” with a hip-hop swagger, but it never finds its groove. This is also Idris Elba at his worst; he can glide on his considerable charisma and deeply soulful eyes only for so long before it’s apparent that he’s fronting for an empty script.
