Khoi Vinh’s review published on Letterboxd:
No one goes into these movies with high expectations, but for the first third of this movie I was thinking, "Oh wait, is this going to be kind of interesting? Maybe?" I certainly found a certain amount of pleasure in learning all about ice road trucking, and you couldn't say that anyone took a vacation while making this—the scenes in snow and water look like a real pain to shoot. But the back half turns into a string of pretty tired action movie clichés and the filmmakers seem unable to rouse themselves into applying any particularly novel energy to their execution. For a movie with low expectations, the worst thing you can be accused of is being lazy, and unfortunately this is just that.
