This one has a special place in my heart and rewatching it years later it’s still funny. But it’s not 24 jokes per second, the way I remembered it. It’s actually a bit drawn out at times. Nevertheless, Leslie Nielsen’s deadpan performance has not lost a bit of sparkle. Every look, every pause, every brief moment of self-realization that he quickly dispatches with, is utter perfection.
