Very novelistic political thriller with a bunch of middle aged people running around in action sequences that, in 2022, would’ve starred Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Chastain or something. Still, Hackman is SO GOOD in every scene. He’s like a master painter with wordless expressions, rendering every scene with tremendous nuance and feeling.
