    highest praise i can give: i didn't cry, but i _could_ have cried and not felt bad about it, which is not something i ever thought i'd say about a movie with "Top Gun" in the title.

    You know what the third act needs? Someone to die. They pussied out of killing off one of the baby pilots, but they need at least one more corpse in this movie!

    My mum enjoyed it lots, which is all that counts.

    During the screening of TOP GUN: MAVERICK, a man in his fifties yelled out in what sounded like a fit of pure ecstasy during one of the aerial stunts. He sounded like he was being raptured. 

    I cannot wait for the dads of the world to experience this movie this summer.
