I know it was heavily cut shrinking the runtime to 2hr from the original 3hr cut which was released 23 years ago and got bombed at the box office. Aalavandhan was definitely ahead of its time and Kamal as usual experimenting with cinema adapting his own novel 17 years later. A very eccentric film with editing choices of surrealism.
