When I watched Black Panther, I came away hoping it moved Black viewers the way Wonder Woman moved me. Having seen this, I hope it does for Black women what Wonder Woman did for me.

I love this movie. It taps into the collective grief for Chadwick Boseman, driven by the power of Angela Basset and Leticia Wright. It is amazing.

Rewatching with Ian, who’s never seen it. I’ve watched this so many times since I was a kid, I keep stopping it to info-dump. Ian is so patient with me. 🤣

Oh... god. I was excited about this until I saw who's directing. Now I'm terrified. I read and absolutely adored "Cabin at the End of the World." I've been recommending it to patrons since its release.

But I haven't been interested in anything Shyamalan has directed since "Avatar the Last Airbender." I can hope he doesn't murder it, but I'm really not holding my breath.

    A true classic of film.

I’ll admit to being a little tongue-in-cheek when I first posted this but now that I’ve seen the whole thing? Uh, yeah. Unironically an awesome movie I want to own and watch again.
