BlacKkKlansman ★★★★

I'm not going to say I'm disappointed by the film but in fact I was hoping it would be a little bit more satirical, daring and extravagant. I wasn't a big fan of the editing either but I gotta say that the ending was actually really really good (that's what made me change my rating). I really enjoyed the score and acting as well but it felt like somthing was missing.
The message this film has to share is very important and well told overall. I truly believe it'll open people's mind on some subjects. Some scenes will definitely stay on my mind for a while and that's a good point.

The story is set in the past, but it's still pretty relevant and in fact there's some references to the events that happened in Charlottesville. Even though things seem to have evolved in America, racism against minorities is still there like it was in the past and things do need to change. By making this movie Spike Lee makes a direct criticism of America today and especially Trump's America. And I'm so glad it's getting a lot of recognition because it's well deserved.
But to be honest I thought I was gonna like this movie more than I actually did. I was going to give it 3.5 stars but first I thought that I should give it another try cause I know this film is good and second the ending deserved an extra half star. I think I just wasn't in the mood for it, probably because I'm exhausted but more likely because I couldn't stop thinking about school
