The Big Chill 1983
It’s hard to rate this one. Mainly because there was a lot that could have been done for this film, but it just totally felt lacking and pointless. I’m not sure why any of this mattered but it was honestly just a bunch of horny coked up people reminiscing about their hippie days and fucking each other. The cast is pretty good and there’s times when the characters are engaging and interesting, but it sort of felt like a big…

The Arena 1974
The Arena’s beginning first half is basically fetish porn for slavery and captivity, which is ultimately disguised by the entire gladiator approach. Far too many times do they single out the whole rape fantasy theme within the first thirty minutes, which mostly put me off for a while until things started to heat up for the story after we get past the first thirty minutes of it. The film is not put together very well and I do admire the…

MouseHunt 1997
The slapstick in this movie is quite fun and the scenes with Christopher Walken as the exterminator are golden. There’s far too much CGI in this, however, which just looks absolutely awful and the complete ridiculous moments of the film keep it held back from being greater than it actually is. There’s some very funny things written for the film,…

Nancy Drew 2007
Really really stupid for a mystery film and totally predictable. As far as children’s films go, it’s okay, but this movie had some poor writing and acting. Tate Donovan and Josh Flitter were excruciatingly terrible in terms of acting and their characters had the worst writing. Emma Roberts was perfectly wonderful as Nancy Drew, who did have a few hiccups with common sense to solving certain predictable questions, but overall she was quite comical in being a parody.
The film’s…

The Adam Project 2022
I don’t know, this was just one of those movies where if you’ve seen the trailer, you’ve seen the movie. It was pretty boring other than Ryan Reynolds keeping the humor somewhat amusing. He’s always had a very charming personality and made silly stupid jokes, but I just felt it wasn’t enough to keep this afloat.
Zoe Saldaña and Jennifer Garner felt underused in this; especially Saldaña who’s barely in it. Mark Ruffalo is okay, but I thought he was…
