I can’t remember the last time I saw a movie by Spike Lee but this one, has to be by far one of the best I have ever seen.
With a movie that takes place in the past, it was still very relatable to the current issues that African-Americans face in America, especially with our current president & how things were in 2017.
Watching it, I felt the powerful movement & voice it was speaking & it did make me awkward at times since the room was majority white. But I think that may have been the point of the movie. To open the eyes of America, to realize what is really going on. What a movie.
Hopefully, one day, America will change its ways.
