Brundle Fly’s review published on Letterboxd:
Emotionally crushing in its honesty, the third film in the Before series laser focuses on the kind of regret born of compromises made for the sake of long term relationships. These regrets often planted as seeds in the subconscious, eventually sprouting into resentment.
Anyone who's had to make a tough sacrifice in order to maintain commitment will instantly recognize the turmoil, pain, and trepidation present here. Its a test, a relationship landmark that will either seal its end, or — if passed — promise a stronger future. Given the investment Linklater asks of his audience, three films taking place over the course of eighteen years, the conclusion to Celine and Jesse's story is certainly a poignant and affecting one.
