Something so marvelously, beautifully perverse and sickening about the end of this. Something, I think, will always make my stomach turn at that montage of Alma preparing Reynolds’ omelette. It’s just... whew. This is easily one of Anderson’s best films visually, and narratively I’d say it rivals The Master in terms of difficulty. If you stan, you stan, however, so the entire community can agree - this film is like watching the most beautiful dream in existence. I fucking love Phantom Thread. Now I need a glass of water, and a nap -
