Bookended by a lullaby of purity lost - a song of raw and dark lamentation - Rosemary's Baby is a magnificently crafted film with a story that doesn't leave your memory. The moral depravity and human indecency on display is truly unforgettable - a husband violating his vows for money, and pure evil begetting from it. Polanski's film is untouched, vile art; it's so beautiful and terrible and horrifying and poetic. Dark, awful, superb. Rosemary's Baby is one for the ages.
