Bubbly, honest, and incredibly well-done. Jon Watts' Spider-Man is a film bursting with creativity and personality. Watts does what Webb couldn't - tell an old story in a new way. Homecoming feels like the first time we've ever seen this character on the screen - this is coming from someone whose childhood consisted of repeat viewings of Raimi's 2002 Spider-Man. Tom Holland is just wonderful as Peter, Jacob Batalon is remarkably funny, Zendaya excels in her small role - and Michael Keaton is a national treasure. In a retrospective of this now-too big franchise, Spider-Man: Homecoming will always stand out as one of the Marvel brand's best.
