An absolute delight. Tom Holland’s Peter Parker has all the youthful charisma that other Marvel movies lack. Holland carries this thing wonderfully, even though there’s a plethora of great stuff here; Jon Watts’ direction is stellar, assembling the actors and coaxing out the perfect takes each time. There are minute comedic moments that elevate this film marvelously, populated liberally throughout the running time. The screenplay for this is miraculous - six writers and somehow, magically, not a disaster. Homecoming is a story of believing in yourself, in your strengths, your flaws, your vulnerabilities, your individuality. This is a movie operating within the confines of a universe - and it has a voice.
