    Blue Velvet

White picket fences and fresh yellow roses and lukewarm breezes and coffee sweetened with narcotics. Bloodied limbs and cracked lips and vision blurred by sparkling pain mistaken for pleasure. Thrills and kills and sexual destruction are a distraction from the dull suburbia nightmare. Her velvet matches the bruises on her skin. How easy it is to listen when it is impossible to hear.

Contentment is in a white dress carrying schoolbooks dreaming of birds that eat vermin to survive because…

    Before Sunrise

I believe in love at first sight.

I believe in glancing at someone from across the room and knowing, without a doubt, that they're your soulmate. There's a pull stronger than gravity that forces you towards them and it's almost more difficult to walk away than it is to swallow your fear and make the first move. The seat across from theirs is empty because it is your destiny to be close to them and they know it and you…

    Hi, I'm back!

I was surprisingly moved by this series (I was expecting very little from Ryan Murphy as a producer, if I'm transparent) and it reminded me of the point of expression, particularly artistic expression, and I felt moved to get back into writing because I was always doing that for myself anyways and there's no reason to care what others think or feel or ignore. "There's one unspoken rule on the Internet. And that's that you don't fuck with cats."

I feel extremely conflicted writing this review. On one hand, I believe it's horrible that this documentary exists and I don't want to give it the slightest bit of attention. On the other hand, this is a site for reviewing movies and miniseries, and I want to review this because I feel so passionately about what I have to say. In short, my review is…

    A Clockwork Orange

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

On my first watch of the famous and critically acclaimed film A Clockwork Orange, I truly hated it but felt rather conflicted in my opinion. I'm unsure if that conflict came from the sheer brilliant craft demonstrated in the film or if it came from the incredibly high scores that convinced me I was wrong, I didn't get the story, I didn't understand.

And in some ways that is true. I have attempted to have several constructive and civil conversations…
