i was really into A&F when i was trenches of my eating disorder in middle school so i think that’s all you need to know about them. i still have a few of the softcore porn shopping bags in my basement.

  • Spider-Man: No Way Home

    Spider-Man: No Way Home

weird plot, kinda predictable at times and then not. i didn’t expect the whole “fixing” the villains thing at all and it kinda threw me off. also at this point dr strange is just a plot device, not a real character. like “oh well if we introduce magic then we can do anything we want and pick and choose which situations have consequences and which can just be reversed through magic”
oh and not to mention the whole plot of…

  • The Bubble

    The Bubble

i think enough people have commented on the horrible quality of this movie so all i’m gonna say is that it looks terrible…it’s like the cinematographer’s job was to make it look as bad as possible

    The French Dispatch

i like wes anderson but the plot was too all over the place and i could not get into this. it’s well made but the plot just isn’t there which is a shame. doesn’t have that same charm as moonrise kingdom or grand budapest hotel

    Nightmare Alley

love GDT, he’s one of my favorite directors, but this was way too drawn out. visually stunning as usual for him but the plot dragged on and needed to be condensed. i haven’t seen the original so i can’t compare the two. my favorite performance was cate blanchett, a perfect role for her imo. also love how her and rooney mara date the same man in this and then leave him…i almost wanna imagine this movie as a prequel to Carol

  • The Lost Daughter

    The Lost Daughter

so fucking uncomfortable and i don’t even care if that was the intention because i cannot see anything purposeful to this. it’s not tense enough to be a thriller and the mother/daughter dynamics aren’t interesting enough for it to be some thoughtful exploration of motherhood. the main character is just so weird and unsympathetic. like why was she masturbating while she was supposed to be watching her kids???? i can’t feel sympathy for someone who just stole some kids doll for fun and caused an entire family torment because of it. she was insane and unhinged and not in an entertaining amy dunne kind of way
