    This is probably my favorite book to film adaptation.  It has been done to perfection from the screenplay/dialogue, to the cinematography, to the soundtrack and most importantly to the acting. Bill Skarsgård and Tom Holland in particular made me tear up and remember what cinema means to me.     It almost hurt like it hurt the first time I saw it. The cinematography could literally be enough to make me cry but NO. Saoirse you will pay. James McAvoy is the most robbed of an Academy Award actor in Hollywood. The shots of him at war and with a light stubble were.. life changing. Robbie would’ve been a great doctor... it’s okay he was a good soldier too. War is bad. I will be rewatching soon just for the dynamic of the robbie cecilia and briony scene. Atonement is one for the history books.
