Titanic 1997
I’m probably incapable of reviewing this film without bias because I watched it so many times growing up on two VHS tapes. I actually went into it tonight expecting that it wouldn’t entirely hold up, fearful I’d ruin the way it lived in my memory.

Alphaville 1965
This was the first Godard film I watched, back in college. I loved it then, and it still holds up. Godard’s version of noir is a lot fun.
And on a personal note, I was able to understand like 20% of the dialogue without subtitles and I am super proud of that progress. Thank you, Anna Karina, for enunciating so beautifully.
