Words can't tell how great this was. It needs to be experienced.
Oh, another Spike Lee Joint? And it's a war joint? Ok, sounds interesting.
After the film:
Oh... it's a... D R A M A (war) joint. Well... that's not what I expected, but it was still pretty damn good tho.
Da 5 Bloods is a joint with messy characters, messy story, too much drama, too less war, too less Chadwick Boseman... but still it's an important message what Spike just told us. But I feel like i've heard that message…
This was the first Asian-Samurai film that i saw. Such a disappointment. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good either. It's "just" okay.
Characters? It might be my fault, but if I try to remember even one character's name from Ran... I can't remember. 2 or 3 characters were good, but forgettable. And the rest of them? FORGETTABLE.
It had pretty wise and clever lines tho. Dialogue was really good too, actually the best part of the film.
