Michael Colpitts’s review published on Letterboxd:
Bone Tomahawk is an instant classic; a beautiful, brutal blend of The Searchers and Off Season that seems tailor made just for me. First time writer/director S. Craig Zahler makes an impressively assured debut that takes its time with the four leads, turning them from Western archetypes into fully fleshed out characters. The first two acts are punctuated with small bouts of action, but it's the characters that the film cares about, which leads to an explosively violent third act made all the better by our love for everyone involved. One of the year's absolute best.
