Although I wasn't wowed by its storytelling, A Chiara is a very impressively shot film with a great lead performance from Swamy Rotolo as the 15-year-old Chiara, whose life becomes more complicated than she ever expected after a shocking family revelation. It's a low-key film that never necessarily achieves the tension it is going for, but the script is very natural and believable, as is the acting.
(Side note: why the fuck is there an Ed Sheeran song in this? Even in international films, I'm apparently not safe from his bland, corny bullshit.)
