Nobody gives Bob Odenkirk the chance to step into a John Wick-type role, and while the Mr. Show alum as a suburban dad might seem like a perfect fit, what's surprising how completely convincing he is as a badass killing machine. More than anything, I appreciate that Nobody is a film in which the hero gets his ass kicked repeatedly. Odenkirk's protagonist might win his fights, but he sure gets roughed up along the way. Following his magnificent b-movie spectacle Hardcore Henry, Ilya Naishuller proves again that he is supernaturally gifted at making stylish, irreverent action movies. Every studio in Hollywood ought to be offering that guy a blank check.
