When I watch Julie, I see myself. I see myself second-guessing my every decision, reflecting on my past and getting analysis paralysis when thinking about my future and what I want from it/from myself.
Ever since I grew past that age where you want to be an astronaut/firefighter/veterinarian/etc., I've been aimlessly floating through life, hoping that it'll throw the right decisions towards me. That wasn't a problem until it became one. I struggle to commit, as does Julie, and I…
I am so, so happy I got to rewatch this. The Witch, to me, is a perfect horror movie. It has all the elements I want from one.
Its atmosphere is pitch-perfect. Within every shot lingers some unseen horror and fear so that even a landscape shot of the woods makes you feel incredibly uneasy.

What a fascinating documentary. I think this one really earns itself some kind of "important" label. Mostly because it lets its subjects speak for themselves. Obviously the filmmakers chose what to show and the way they edit the scenes together, which also tells a certain story. But there were no talking heads interpreting the things for you.
I think many people will get different kind of things out of this documentary. Personally, I think it gave me a good insight…
