Paris, Texas ★★★★

A melancholic story of attempting to reconnect with the pieces of your past which succeeds at narrative craft and emotion really well, those telephone scenes did really hit, I didn't tear up or anything but it made me feel , tbh why am I even saying this, you've heard all this shit already, it's a pretty flawlessly crafted film. The reason for my rating not being a 4.5 or maybe even a 5 is because I guess I didn't really get as strong of an emotional response to it as others, the themes (while great) I feel maybe would've resonated stronger with me if they where more complexly explored, but overall it's a gripping 2 and a half hours that goes by pretty quickly so I'm definitely glad I watched it.
